Montour Railroad

This wiki is designed to provide information and history for the Montour Railroad. The Montour was a shortline that existed around the Pittsburgh, PA area. It's main commodity was shipping coal that was abundant around the Pittsburgh Hillside. The Montour closed it's doors officially back in 1986.

The Montour Trail is a hiking/biking trail that is made from the Montour right of way. This wiki is not for the trail but to remember the history of the Montour Railroad and the mines that it served.
