Railroading 101

Took a short walk between the Imperial community center and North Star Junction. Didn't see much in the way of remaining railroad but had a nice walk. Collected some pictures along the way.

The forgotten ties still remain along the old roadbed.   The railroad mans view of the area.   More of the trainman's view in the fall.   Here is an old sturdy bridge that is still in great shape.

This caboose sits at the community center. A reminder of the railroad that passed nearby. I don't know if it is an actual Montour caboose. I think not, but would like clarification   Small pieces of coal can also be found along the old roadbed. A sign of the type of railroad the Montour was. Or is it from the old steam engines that ran in the early days of the Montour?
